Valencia Jewell
Valencia Jewell, MSW Intern is a social work intern with a passion for helping others. She has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, working with a variety of populations, including migrant students, high school students, and law firms.
Valencia is a graduate of Sonoma State University, where she majored in Global Studies with a concentration in International Education Development. She is also a certified yoga instructor and has taught classes to kids, adults, and parent/child classes. In her spare time, Valencia enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and reading. She is also a member of Alanon, where she volunteers her time to help others who are struggling with addiction.
She is excited to work with Therapeutic Play Foundation and Innovative Wellness Consulting in her graduate studies in social work and is eager to make a difference in the world.

- She was selected to pilot and present a nationally implemented program at the National Sales Meeting 2007.
- She achieved 120% of quota for 2006 and was runner up Rookie of the Year in the Western Division.
- She was formally commended by the GEAR UP federal program officer in 2004 for outstanding work in procuring community resources.
- She was awarded Outstanding Women in Technology by Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey in 2004 for innovation in leveraging community resources.
- She was selected as a representative in the Race, Equality, and Community Awareness Campaign for the 2004 Community Listening Project in Sonoma County, CA.
